Sad news for the Programming Languages Community

The 11th Brazilian Symposium on Programming Languages, SBLP 2007, will be held in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, on May 23-25, 2007. The SBLP is an event sponsored by the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC) with the purpose of providing a forum where researchers, educators, and practitioners can present and discuss the fundamental principles and innovations in the design, definition, analysis, transformation and implementation of programming languages and systems.

The SBLP 2007 Program Committee invites authors to contribute with the following kinds of submissions:

Contributions can be written in Portuguese or English. Papers should have at most 14 pages, including bibliography. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings. Selected papers from the proceedings may appear in a Special Issue of the Journal of Universal Computer Science (JUCS) - Springer- Verlag. Only accepted contributions written in English are eligible to be published in the JUCS. Tutorial submissions may be in the form of a proposal. The final version of a selected tutorial should contain at most 30 pages. Papers should be presented in the language of submission. All proposals must follow the SBC formatting guidelines.
