SVR brings together researchers, practitioners, students and other professionals from academic, industrial and commercial areas interested in the advances and applications of Virtual and Augmented Reality.

After the first eleven events, which took place in São Carlos (1997), Marília (1999), Gramado (2000), Florianópolis (2001), Fortaleza (2002), Ribeirão Preto (2003), São Paulo (2004), Belém (2006), Petrópolis (2007), João Pessoa (2008) and Porto Alegre (2009), the 12nd SVR will be held in the Natal.

The SVR aims at bringing together researchers, promoting the exchange of experiences and facilitating the interaction between research groups, creating better conditions for new inter-institutional research groups to be created, as well as working as a display of the advances of virtual and Augmented Reality in Brazil and in the world.

The planned activities for SVR include minicourses, invited speakers, tutorials, technical sessions to present related papers, demo and prototype exhibition and workshops.
